Abstract Noun Poetry
This is one of the examples I wrote and showed in my PowerPoint.
At a recent staff meeting, I thought everyone had heard of them but that wasn't the case. So if you're a teacher whose unfamiliar with abstract noun poetry, or know them but would like to improve how you teach them, watch my video below... if you're pushed for time, just go straight to the free resource pack at the bottom of the page.
So that's it! I have had so many cracking pieces of writing from this and I'm sure you will too. Even often reluctant writers, freed from the stress of writing a cohesive story or report, turned in very individual and creative poems.
My resource pack includes: a beast of a 28 slide PowerPoint with grammar work on nouns for pupils to do on whiteboards, two abstract noun poems, a printable planning sheet and also planning for teachers.
